TRACY, California – Medication disposal event held in Tracy.
“If you do not dispose of unused or expired medications, they could be stolen, misused, or lost,” the Tracy Police Department statement said.
The event will take place on April 27 at the police agency’s facilities, located at 1000 Civic Center Drive, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Medicines will be received loose, they do not need to be packaged or arrive in their original packaging.
Cough syrups and liquids whose packaging must be closed.
Vaping devices and cartridges that must arrive without batteries.
Medicines for pets will also be received.
The event provides a safe, anonymous and environmentally friendly method to prevent mishandling or illicit distribution of pharmaceutical products, the document concludes.
