As if he were the “Scorpion King”, a man was surprised with 60 scorpions in the Market Square of the municipality of El Santuario, Eastern Antioquia. There he was offering miraculous cures to those who passed by, which were based on the venom of these arthropods.
The authorities confirmed that the complaint was made by people who were passing through the area and noticed that something was wrong in the possession of this highly poisonous species.

At the time of the arrival of Cornare (Regional Autonomous Corporations) in the company of the uniformed officers, they went to ask him for permits to possess this wildlife, they found that he did not have them, so they proceeded with their seizure.

According to medical specialists, the poison can cause respiratory problems, seizures, coma, hyperglycemia, pulmonary edema, among other symptoms.
The person captured with these scorpions was taken to a Police station, where he was placed at the disposal of the corresponding authorities for the crime of animal abuse, as well as possession of wildlife. Furthermore, this man, originally from the department of Cauca, had a history of this same activity in the municipality of Sonsón.
