LERMAState of Mexico.- Given the water context that the State of Mexico is experiencing, citizens, civil organizations, universities and the state government join forces and with the Development Plan of the State of Mexico 2023-2029 as the guiding axis, cover the needs of the State of Mexico. The lack of water, the pollution of rivers, as well as the overexploitation of aquifers has meant that the vital liquid does not reach all citizens, which is why a group of citizen experts, farmers and agencies of the Government of the State of Mexico addressed these topics in work tables.

In her speech, the Secretary of Health, Macarena Montoya Olvera, highlighted the importance of carrying out coordinated work between the various levels of government, organizations and civil society to propose public policies in the short, medium and long term, since physical and mental well-being of the Mexicans, is not only limited to self-care, it is also vitally important to have an environmental environment that allows the optimal development of the community.

In the Forum, participants shared their concerns about wastewater treatment, the problems that residents and farmers face every day, as well as alternatives that allow the conservation of wetlands and other water sources.
