Giuseppe Tornatore pays tribute to Ennio Morricone, in a documentary that reviews the life and work of the legendary composer

He Italian Institute of Culture of Buenos Airesin collaboration with the National museum of fine arts and the Association of Friends of the Museumpresents the film series To the Cinema! in the auditorium of said institution, from this Saturday until Saturday 8 of June, with the highlights of contemporary Italian cinema. The selection includes five productions that have captured the attention of both critics and the public in recent times. Martin Eden, of Pietro Marcellois an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Jack London and explores class differences and the act of artistic creation. Aspromonte-The terra degli ultimiof Mimmo Caloprestiis set in a Sicilian town and tells the tragedy of those oppressed by power and wealth. Strangeness, of Roberto Andómixes fantasy and reality, following Luigi Pirandello’s trip to Sicily, where he encounters two unusual strangers.

Music and documentary lovers will be able to see Ennio, the teacherof Giuseppe Tornatore, which honors the historic soundtrack composer Ennio Morricone, author of the music for Federico Fellini’s unforgettable films. It will also be projected Veraof Tizza Covi and Rainner Frimmel,that It weaves documentary and fiction to explore the life of Vera Gemma and her relationship with a lower-class family after an incident.
