Ernesto Pimentel spoke for the first time about Alex Brocca | The Reventonazo of the Chola – América TV

Ernesto Pimentel used the last minutes of his program ‘The Reventonazo of the Chola’ to speak publicly about her relationship and subsequent breakup with the late dancer Alex Brocca. For the first time, she directly addressed the controversy surrounding him, generated after the premiere of the film ‘Chabuca’, in which some viewers perceived veiled references to her ex-partner.

During the broadcast of the program last Saturday, May 4, the presenter expressed his regret for the absence of his life partner, reflecting on the public perception of his film. He highlighted the complexity of personal stories, where there are no absolute roles of good or evil, and he regretted that certain interpretations have transcended the original intention of the work.

“In my story no one is the good or the saint. There are people who have tried to say that I never wanted to say the word Alex and today I am going to do it, to tell him that I am sorry that he is not here, it is very sad that people give a name to what he did not give. There are people who put a truth into it that was a novel,” he expressed.

The television host pointed out that within his film, no character is portrayed as an antagonist, thus denying speculation about the representation of Alex Brocca. Furthermore, he emphasized the discrepancy between reality and narrative fiction, commenting that truth is distorted when viewed through the prism of others, who may attribute intentions or other meanings.

He also emphasized the importance of allowing oneself to evolve and not remain stuck in the past, mentioning that events that occurred decades ago should not define who one is in the present. With these words, he urged viewers to form their own opinions and reflect on the ease with which judgments can be made without knowing the totality of the circumstances.

“I am going to continue celebrating life. You draw your conclusions. We are always the bad guy in each other’s stories, but we all deserve a chance. What happened 20 or 30 years ago does not define who you are today,” she highlighted.

In other moments of his statements in ‘The Reventonazo of the Chola’, Ernesto Pimentel shared with his audience a moment of sincerity and deep reflection about his personal experience living with threats and how he has faced this adversity.

“My life is threatened minute by minute. And every day I do the best I can, and today I don’t respond to anything or anyone. Today I speak to myself to tell myself that I forgive myself, that I accept myself and I ask for forgiveness from those who have been offended by my truth,” he said about his version of ‘Chabuca’.

Furthermore, it addressed a topic of great social and personal relevance: the HIV. The comedian, who has also publicly shared that he is a carrier of the virus, as was his ex-partner Alex Brocca, expressed the importance of sexual education and how to prevent it among young people.
