The apartment is located on the north side of Broome Street, between Wooster Street and West Broadway. “The property has an open ground floor and a spacious open kitchen, plus a loft bedroom in the back”, they described from the firm. “The upper floor consists of another large living room and a old recording studio“, they added.
The Department It has about 356 square meters and, according to New York Post, Two more floors can be built and the dimensions doubled. “SoHo is recognized worldwide as a premier residential, commercial, arts and office destination, famous for its exclusive luxury boutiques, restaurants and galleries that attract visitors from around the world,” stated JLL.

Along these lines, the firm in charge of the sale remarked that “this location allows for wide range of uses, including residential and/or commercial, such as a townhouse, retail store, private corporate office, restaurant or boutique art gallery.” The building was built around 1880 and, according to Philip Normanauthor of the book John Lennon: The Life“Broome St. was like a base for his artistic projects”.
Two years after buying the apartment on Broome Street, The famous couple acquired a second property in the Dakota building. Actually, They became owners of five spaces inside the tower, some used as guest residences and others as storage. Since 2023, the artist no longer lives there: she moved to a field which was also owned by the author of “Imagine” since 1978. That extensive farm, 243 hectares, is located in Catskill, near Franklin, New York.
The mid-rise Gothic-style building is located at 1 West 72nd Street, overlooking Central Park, and has 65 units. On the night of December 8, 1980, Mark David Chapman stood at the door of the building to wait for Lennon’s arrival.. Upon his arrival, shot him five times in the back. Almost five decades after that tragedy that cost him his life, that place is a monument that remembers the singer and a key point for tourists visiting New York.
