The Colombian Gustavo Lorgia, considered one of the best magicians in Latin America, passed away, this Friday, June 14, in Bogotá, at the age of 73, due to a spinal shock (failure of the autonomic nervous system), after being hospitalized for 15 days in a clinic, his relatives reported.
“This message is for all of our father’s family, friends and colleagues, who have supported, admired and filled him with courage in these last days. After the spinal shock that he suffered a little more than 15 days ago, today he stopped clinging to life and died“, María Paula and Gustavo Jr, children of the illusionist, reported on social networks.

The artist was first in the Marly clinic, but was later transferred to the Reina Sofía clinic, in which he died.

Gustavo Adolfo Lorgia Vanegas was born in Bogotá on May 18, 1951; His father, of the same name, was a native of Bucaramanga. His grandfather, also a magician, had emigrated from Italy.

Lorgia toured more than 50 countries with his show. He was recognized in Germany, Egypt, Spain, France, the United States, Russia, the Netherlands, England, Italy, Japan and much of Latin America.
