Cristóbal de Col, world surfing champion, has been a constant source of inspiration and support for Tatiana. “In 2011, Cristóbal became ISA junior world champion and that exposed him to the eyes of the world in surfing. I admire him a lot, his resilience and perseverance. And a big part of why I decided to compete in Miss Peru in 2022 was because I met Cristóbal,” commented Tatiana, reflecting the deep admiration she feels for her fiancé.

Time passed, it was 2020 and we had the participation of Janick, who was in the Top 5, finishing in the Top 3 and he (Cristóbal) was on a surfing trip with friends, he called me and said ‘queen, have you seen what’s there? a Peruvian who is advancing in the Miss Universe?’ and she told me ‘queen, if she could do it, you can too. why do not you try it?’ I said, uhm interesting,” he recounted.
