More than thirty years of professional career guarantee Santiago Segura who is, possibly, one of the most prolific Spanish actors and directors today. The man from Madrid, creator of one of the most controversial characters in the history of Spanish cinema -Torrente-, has brought millions of spectators to movie theaters and, therefore, has earned a significant financial sum.

However, his work in front of or behind the camera is not the only economic activity that brings money to Segura. In 1999, a year after the blockbuster ‘The Dumb Arm of the Law’, the actor created the Public Limited Company ‘Amiguetes Enterprises‘, a company that has produced all the films in the Torrente saga. That same year, he also created ’18 Chulos Records SL’, another company dedicated to recording and editing activities on sound and musical issues.

With the premiere of ‘Mission in Marbella’, Segura once again made another economic breakthrough that allowed him to found ‘AE William Holding S.L’. This holding is a sum of different companies that are dedicated to the production of audiovisual content and is, according to various information, the one that brings the most profit. However, It has also brought him headaches, since the National Court sentenced him to pay 827,000 euros for having evaded payment of that same amount in the 2011 Corporate Tax.

‘Promociones Skolnick SL’ was also created at the beginning of the 21st century, although its function is radically different from that of other companies.. With this company, Segura manages real estate rentals and operates the Príncipe Pío Station in Madrid. According to ‘Forbes’ magazine, the lease of the property is granted for 50 years.

Science, wine and a hospitality experience

In addition to companies destined for the sector in which he has spent practically his entire professional life, Santiago Segura has tried his luck in other areas, such as science. The director has several stakes in ‘Wooptix SL’, a firm whose actions are based on experimentation and development in natural sciences.

He was also linked to the hospitality industry for five years at the ‘Bla Bla’ restaurant, where He shared a project with Cayetano Rivera and Nacho Charrabe. He even opened a second establishment called ‘Oh Bla Bla Bla!’, but in 2016 he sold all his shares. Since 2020, it has maintained a relationship with the Cariñena Denomination of Origin wine brand.
