PUCV Centers will have a relevant role in the application of the new Strategic Development Plan

A meeting organized by the Vice-Rector’s Office for Development and the General Directorate of Liaison with the Environment was held this week in the Rector’s Office of the University with the aim of the PUCV centers participating in the preparation of the Institution’s concordance plans. phase that marks the beginning of the application of the new Institutional Strategic Development Plan 2023-2029.

The Vice Chancellor of Development, Jorge Mendoza, highlighted that it is the first time that the centers will have their own concordance plans, contributing to the new navigation chart that will guide the destinies of the University in the coming years.

“We met with the directors of the centers to formally present our 2023-2029 Strategic Development Plan and we wanted to tell them about the processes that will come to incorporate them into the University’s concordance plans. The idea is that we can value the work of the centers and add them to the different initiatives that we have considered in the new plan. It was a pleasant meeting where the centers were grateful to be part of it and presented their visions to be able to contribute to the fulfillment of each of the objectives of the document,” he expressed.

Makarena Alzamora, manager of the Educational Leaders Center, stated that “this is a very valuable meeting space to make visible the interest that the University has with the centers, which allows us to publicize the synergies that we may have between us and the Academic Units. to be able to better pay taxes to the PUCV Strategic Development Plan. It is valuable to generate systematic meeting spaces that allow us to learn about the work of other centers and collaborate in joint actions to contribute to the Strategic Development Plan.”

Finally, Rolando Chamy, director of the Curauma Biotechnology Center (NBC) indicated that “it is an excellent decision that the centers have their concordance plans and in this way align the objectives and goals that are specific to the University. It is the first time that the centers participate in the preparation of concordance plans, which allows us to have development indicators that can be measured by contributing to the goals proposed in the Plan. It is very important that the centers have interaction with each other and with the different UUAA, since we are a single Institution.”

The Climate Action centers also participated in the meeting; of Mining; of Heritage and Urban Studies; Research in Science Didactics and STEAM Education; of Studies and Legislative Assistance; CERES, Costadigital and Eduinclusiva.
