Medellín, April 23, 2024.
– From April 24 to 28, the Government of Antioquia will carry out these activities, which have as their main axis the municipalities of Yondó, Puerto Berrío and Puerto Nare.
– During the sessions there will be checkpoints and operations, informative talks on crime prevention, workshops, recreational events for children and families, background checks and visits to establishments.
The Government of Antioquia, through the Ministry of Security and Justice, in addition to other agencies, will carry out between April 24 and 28 the second day of Comprehensive Intervention for the Prevention of Crime in the Magdalena Medio of Antioquia, specifically in the municipalities from Yondó, Puerto Berrío and Puerto Nare.
“The articulation of the institutions allows us to bring the security offer to the most remote places in our territory, always guaranteeing security through democracy and justice, and establishing prevention, training and support strategies for the communities. This is an articulated work that will be reflected in safer conditions for the people of Antioquia and this time the focus will be the inhabitants of Magdalena Medio,” stated the Operational Director of the Secretariat of Security and Justice, retired colonel, Camilo Ernesto Cabana.
The activities will begin in the municipality of Yondó on April 24 and 25, will continue in Puerto Berrío on the 26 and 27, to conclude in Puerto Nare on April 28. In these locations there will be informative talks, preventive workshops, recreational activities, there will be checkpoints and various operations, background checks, meetings with unions and merchants and visits to establishments. In addition to the Secretariat of Security and Justice, several departments of the Department will also participate, such as the Secretariat of Education, and there will be support from the National Army, the National Police, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF), municipal administrations, among others. entities.
A first comprehensive intervention has already been carried out in Bajo Cauca with a positive impact in the municipalities of Caucasia, El Bagre and Cáceres. The strategy is based on the objective of generating positive social transformation in all the subregions of Antioquia, as established by Governor Andrés Julián, addressing in a preventive, dissuasive and operational manner the crimes that affect the people of Antioquia.
