Last Tuesday, April 23, Benito Fernandez presented within the framework of the Andes Fashion Week (AFW) in Santiago de Chile, your new collection Fall-Winter 2024 call “Shining Future”, inspired by a strong woman and feminine where brightness, color and textures are the main protagonists.

The collection “Shining Future”, stood out for its detailed embroidery, the delicacy of the chiffons and satins, and the charm of its postcards, presented in a rich palette of colors that ranges from deep magenta to dark blue, also including the red and yellow.

The “Shining Future” collection proposes innovative combinations for evening dresses, adapting to a more relaxed vision of social events, such as weddings during the day.

With long dresses and sequin suits as standout garments, and others that delicately and softly accompany the woman’s body, evoking the styles of the 80s, “This collection is designed for women like Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa, “They like to enhance their personality with the different outfits they wear at night, with pieces that can be exchanged to create different looks,” explained the designer.

There were 24 passes in total at the Argentine designer’s parade. “I felt very well received by people, especially the press and influencers. It was a super pleasant feeling. The Andes Fashion Week is done in conjunction with FDLA and what they do is promote Latin American fashion. That is very important, because it makes it grow as an industry,” Benito told Infobae.

And he also added: “It was felt on the catwalk that there is much more interest in Latin American fashion”

What does Benito seek to highlight in this collection? “Without a doubt the evening dresses,” he said. Party dresses have changed a lot and are more relaxed now. The pieces can be combined, they can be superimposed, they can also be mixed for the day, summer with winter… Let’s say, it is a much more relaxed night. This is due to the change in habits we have, where for example weddings are in the afternoon,” explained the designer.

Benito Fernández describes “Shining Future” as an avant-garde collection focused on free women, challenging traditional structures and conventions.

In the second edition of Andes Fashion Week Chile, well-known designers from Latin America were also present, such as Mercedes Campuzano from Colombia; Enzo and Eduardo KOII from Venezuela; Mundana from Mexico; Jako Design from the United States and Lupe Gajardo from Chile.

The Argentine designer expressed his intention to redefine evening dresses with his latest collection, promoting a more relaxed and versatile fashion adapted to new social habits.

“This great event in Chile represents another unique opportunity to present my new collection and pave the way for the launch of my brand in the country. I hope that my designs add flight and color to the elegant imprint that Chile has,” added Benito.

The “Shining Future” collection by Benito Fernández stood out for its meticulous embroidery and the use of chiffon and satin, presenting a varied range of colors from magenta to dark blue.

The event also featured the participation of prominent international figures, including Albania Rosario, founder of Fashion Designers of Latin America (FDLA) in New York, who attended as guest of honor.
