The president explained that there are multiple actions that must be prioritized, such as the consolidation of projects such as the mental health care center and the strengthening of alliances on sexual and reproductive health issues with Profamilia. Also, he spoke about the need to reorganize the issue of public space and the rehabilitation of roads that have suffered state abandonment for many years and that will be of great benefit to the community. Rural development

The president of the municipality of Nariño, Roberto Betancourt, expressed that they are currently working for rural development, providing support to the project that the Solidarity Unit has been developing, with the collaboration of the National Open and Distance University, Unad and the association of small producers belonging to Asomoras and the approval of other association projects is sought to improve the economic income of the families of this municipality.

Likewise, with the Departmental Water Plan, efforts have been made for the construction of a Pdtar Wastewater Treatment Plant, for this project the municipality would co-finance 1.4 billion pesos for the initiative that has a cost close to $4.8 billion.

Likewise, a road project was filed before the National Government that goes from the municipal seat of Nariño to the township of La Caldera in a stretch of 7.5 kilometers, which has a cost of 18 billion pesos, as well as a project for the use of the road from the Chorrillo township, to the Yunguillo village, in a section of 2,600 linear meters, where it is expected to be approved.

Likewise, there is a project that is being formulated for the construction of new social interest houses for families with limited economic resources in this town, where the municipality, including the lot, would contribute resources close to 6 billion pesos of co-financing, where it is hoped to invest 50 percent of the direct royalties and other co-financing, including that of the National Government for this ambitious housing project, where a co-financing of another 8 billion pesos is aspired, for the construction of 140 households.

Quality of life

The mayor of the municipality of Chachagüí, Francisco Álvarez López, expressed that progress and achievements obtained during the first 100 days of Administration, this period has been of vital importance, as it has been the key time for the formulation and implementation of various projects that “They seek to improve the quality of life of all Chachagüileños.”

“In terms of paving rural roads, we have set out to improve connectivity and accessibility in all areas of our municipality. Currently, we have several projects in the formulation phase, and others that are already established in entities such as the Government of Nariño and Invias, said the president.

Who also added that “recreational and sports settings are essential to promote physical exercise and healthy recreation in our community. That is why we are working on its formulation and we have already filed projects with the Ministry of the Interior and Sports.”

Regarding educational infrastructure, the mayor said that “we are working on resource management for the completion of the Educational Citadel, as well as for the improvement of other educational establishments. “We are working on the viability of the new Hospital project for our municipality, as well as the health posts.”

Regarding the educational institutions of this town, Mayor Marino Timaná indicated that there are several structures that have already completed their life cycle and are already old buildings that really do not meet the requirements for children to study, now everything must be modern and even anti-seismic.”
