The authorities attributed the kidnapping of a professional soldier from the N4 Field Artillery battalion to FARC dissidents who commit crimes in the department of Cauca.

The Seventh Division of the Army reported that The soldier was on vacation in Toribío and He was approached by the guerrillas of the Central General Staff in that region of the country, taking him to the mountainous area of ​​Toribío.

The authorities revealed that The incident was reported by a family member of the soldierwho indicated that he received a call from an unknown person, identified as a member of that illegal group, warning him that his brother was kidnapped.

According to the soldier’s family, the case was registered when The uniformed man was moving from Toribío to the Tacueyó sectorwhere he was intercepted by the insurgents who deprived him of his freedom.

The National Army rejected the kidnapping of the soldier and blames the FARC dissidents for the life of the professional soldier and emphasized that this action is a flagrant violation of human rights and an infringement of international humanitarian law.
