Four captured for carrying weapons in Magdalena

Through monitoring and intelligence operations and in compliance with search warrants, the Magdalena Police command allowed the capture of four men identified as allegedly responsible for the crime of carrying, trafficking and manufacturing firearms.

At the time of the operation in the town of Riofrío, Cristian Silva had a revolver in his possession.

In one of the police actions that had incidents in the town of La Gran Vía in Zona Bananera, two men accused by the authorities of being alleged members of the armed group ‘Autodefensas Conquistadores de la Sierra’ were killed.

These were identified as Brainer Elías and Wilmer Hurtado, who were taken amidst strict security measures to the Immediate Reaction Unit of the Prosecutor’s Office in the municipality of Ciénaga.

At the time of the investigation, the uniformed officers found in their possession a nine-millimeter caliber pistol, for which they did not have the papers proving its legality for carrying or possession.

Dison Martínez was arrested in the town of Medialuna, in Pivijay, Magdalena.

In another operation carried out in the district of Riofrío, the uniformed officers arrested a man who was found in possession of a 38 caliber revolver-type firearm with its respective ammunition of which he could not explain its origin.

The person involved was identified by the police command as Cristian Silva, who was placed at the disposal of the competent authorities.

Meanwhile, in the town of Medialuna, a rural area of ​​the municipality of Pivijay, a man was captured carrying a shotgun without documents, which he claimed was used for hunting animals.

The man reported as Dison Martínez, 35, was also left at the disposal of the competent authorities.
