For three days, more than 20 people were trained at the Coyhaique Cultural Center in the Cultural Events Production Workshop brought by the Municipal Theater team, thanks to the Cultural Donations Law, in a training exercise prior to the free Lyric Gala which will take place on Tuesday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Esteban Sánchez, technical head of the Cultural Extension Area of the Municipal Theater of Santiago, was in charge of the three days of training where stage techniques were developed aimed at sound engineers, illuminators, producers, technicians, theater managers and the Culture departments. Teams from the communes of Cisnes, Coyhaique, Aysén Ibáñez and Cochrane participated.
Sánchez says that “I have been able to see that here management is perhaps more developed than in other areas, perhaps because there is also greater difficulty in obtaining financing for certain things.”
“Unfortunately there is a centralization in art and remote areas notice this and force ingenuity to achieve something. I have seen that there are more people who are dedicated to management than in other places, where perhaps there are more artists, which It is a very interesting phenomenon.”
The technical head of Extension of the Municipal Theater adds that “there is a need for this certification, for this training in certain situations. We have been able to see it in the manipulation in the same room of the Cultural Center, that perhaps there is a lack of hands that know more and that help take better care of this space. It is not just a problem here, it happens in many regions.”
For the seremi of Culturas Aysén, Felipe Quiroz, “the Cultural Donations Law of the Ministry of Cultures allows the public and private worlds to come together and leave this type of capabilities installed in remote regions like ours, in order to improve the production and cultural offering. The joint work with the Municipal Theater of Santiago not only brings this training space, but also a luxury Lyric Gala this Tuesday at the Cultural Center; It’s free and everyone is invited. Tickets can be picked up directly at the Cultural Corporation.”
The audiovisual producer, Jorge Arancibia, participated in the Production Workshop and thinks that it is “an enriching and nutritious event, in which we were able to see topics such as lighting, sound, scenography, flooring, project development. Many cultural agents from across the region met and we ended up very happy and grateful for this learning experience of being able to provide new tools for the cultural production of our region.”
