Starting at 7:30 in the morning, in the District Council premises, the 19 honorable councilors will begin the study and inspection of the District Development Plan of Santa Marta, in an extraordinary session convened by the district president of the capital of Magdalena .

This plan, focused on aspects such as drinking water, the fight against poverty and security, was recently delivered to the Council for approval, with the goal of transforming the city with potential into an industrial capital, which reflects the hopes and determination of a future inclusive, with pillars such as water, security, employment, education and health for all.

In addition, it is worth highlighting that this District Development Plan focuses on five fundamental purposes, which are key enablers of development, such as Sustainable and Planned Santa Marta, Santa Marta Advances in a Modern social policy to Transform Lives, Productive Santa Marta and more Income Opportunities and Open and Participatory Government.

«Santa Marta attends to the present of our city and its citizens, but it also leads us to reconcile, to leave behind lost time and to unite again and work together for the city we want, to feel that pride of being Samaria, to recover our identity and put the name of Santa Marta in the international arena towards 500 years, with a focus on water, education, employment, security, sustainable development, among others.
