The Council of State, through the Administrative Litigation Chamber, Fifth Section, ratified during the last hours the election of Chadán Rosado Taylor as District Comptroller of Santa Marta, carried out in the year 2023 for the constitutional period corresponding to the years from 2024 to 2027. In addition, he was District Representative in the two previous periods.

The decision of the High Court comes after a process that began with a lawsuit for electoral annulment presented by Mrs. Gladys Urquijo Ardila, who presented claims that were reviewed, analyzed and ruled in favor of Rosado Taylor in the instances established by the regulatory framework. .

The Council of State relied on the ruling issued on September 27, 2023, by the Administrative Court of Magdalena, which denied the claims of the lawsuit; Therefore, he ratified the election of Rosado Taylor as District Comptroller of Santa Marta.

As recalled, the election process for head of the Santa Marta District Comptroller’s Office was completely provided by the University of Córdoba, in which Chadán Rosado was placed in first place based on his score, which allowed him to retain the award of the position. .

With this decision the judicial process against Rosado Taylor ends, which is why the District Comptroller reaffirms his commitment to continue working for the defense of the Samarians in matters of fiscal control, in the safeguarding of the public resources of this Capital, which They belong to the general public.
