The fourth day of the World Festival of Artistic Youth will offer opportunities for the enjoyment of all art manifestations and also for reflection and debate.

The meeting between events of the May Pilgrims and the presentation of the Honor Award to an outstanding personality of Cuban culture stands out in the programming.

Also noteworthy is the panel Media, communication and services within the May Blogs, aimed at exchanging the new management models of the Cuban press media and also the theoretical sessions of the Thought Congress and the Memoria Nuestra Award for young researchers.

Babel, a space for the plastic arts, proposes a discussion on the work of the National Prize for Plastic Arts Ernesto Fernández, whose work is exhibited during this festival of young art.

In unison, La Cámara Azul will continue with daily audiovisual screenings, including the documentary “Every day is March 8”, directed by filmmakers Lizette Vila, Ingrid León and Sergio Cabrera, and also the launch of the call for the XII Conference of Walking Cinema in the eastern province of Guantánamo.

Artisanal wine exhibitions and theater and dance shows in parks and other public places also prevail.

Meanwhile, in the main room of the Art Center, the presentation of the volume Laminario, by the renowned Cuban photographer Julio Larramendi, will take place.

Other activities planned are an interactive décima workshop, the meeting of flamenco dance academies and poetry reading sessions and book presentations.

On the other hand, among the musical proposals that invade the city, the Popularly Symphonic concert stands out with the work of the composer Rafael Guedes, the presentations of DJ producers and other projects such as the Afternoons of download and Destravando la Trova.

Until next Wednesday, Holguín, about 700 kilometers east of Havana, will host the May Pilgrims, a cultural event that this 2024 celebrates 30 years of foundation and defends the idea that “there is no today without yesterday.”
