Las Tunas. – The purchase of a dozen drinking water pumping equipment for this province in eastern Cuba would have begun after the first letter of credit was opened, said the president of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH), engineer Antonio Rodríguez Rodríguez.

More recently, he noted, “we took other repaired equipment to Las Tunas and other repaired equipment from Las Tunas is being finished and we are also going to move equipment from Tuninucú and Palmarito to Las Tunas.” Additionally, he expressed, after presidential authorization another one would be on its way directly from the port to the Land of Vicente García.
In the last two years, the water supply system in Las Tunas has suffered repeated breakdowns of its pumping equipment, the most recent occurring last month.
