Massive and successful opening of the 5th Dance Festival

At the Las Lavanderas Amphitheater, the opening of the Dance Festival took place, marking the beginning of a month that will be dedicated to this cultural expression in the different cultural centers of the capital Municipality through an important agenda of free public shows that residents and tourists who come to visit this capital will be able to enjoy.

In this regard, the president of the capital’s Deliberative Council, Lisandro Aguiar, considered, “the truth is that we Jujuy residents can find ourselves in these spaces that the Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy has, in this launch of the Dance Festival at the Las Lavanderas Amphitheater in front of the Xibi Xibi, I think it is really beautiful; Seeing so many people enjoying and sharing is the idea of ​​these meetings.”

“I congratulate the Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy for the initiative of being able to bring culture to each of the neighborhoods of the city, which is very important, through decentralization and being able to reach Alto Comedero, San Pedrito, Malvinas , Cuyaya, or to each sector of the city that we share,” said the councilor who presides over the communal legislature.

The launch of the Dance Festival consisted of a magnificent staging with the participation of professional dancers in which the history of the different dance styles was reviewed, from ballet to modern urban styles, to typical Argentine styles: the malambo, the tango, and the carnavalito and the regional ones like the caporal. It was a memorable show.

The Secretary of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy, Luciano Córdoba, expressed his satisfaction with the development of an impressive opening that filled the stands of the Las Lavanderas Amphitheater, “we are very happy with this fifth edition; We will have the opportunity, throughout the month of May, to see more than 15 shows distributed in all cultural spaces, so we suggest residents pay attention to the @MuniJujuy and @CulturaMuniJujuy networks so that they can be up to date. both the calendar and what type of show is scheduled in each cultural center; “ be able to see everything that was shown at the opening, which was a snapshot of what they will experience during the month of May.”

“We highlight the participation of youth, and that of public and private dance schools, some from San Salvador de Jujuy and others from Greater Jujuy -Palpalá, Yala and San Antonio-, in this grand opening that predicts what will be a party open and free for residents to enjoy as they deserve,” Córdoba projected.

Finally, the general director of Culture, Joaquín López, highlighted: “A lot of people have come; Every year it generates more and more attendance with an impressive number of artists from all expressions of dance, and it was possible to see how people have enjoyed it.”
