A new Meeting “Entrevero – The Dancer’s Festival” concluded in our city, in commemoration of International Dance Day.

Organized by the Danza Libre Group, it took place for the third consecutive year between April 22 and 27, attracting a large number of people who participated in the event and which became a vibrant space where dance was celebrated and promoted. as a form of artistic and cultural expression.

This year, the event was dedicated as a tribute to the deceased dance teachers, Emilce Scilingo and Marina Gubbay. “Both left a transcendental legacy in the training of several generations of dancers,” explained the organizers.

Additionally, as special guests who graced this edition of Entrevero, were two outstanding representatives of dance, choreography and body expression from Argentina: Déborah Kalmar and Amaray Collet. Both gave workshops, talks and presented works, further enriching the offering of the meeting.

During the course of the meeting, numerous activities were carried out that included workshops, staging and reflections on dance, which were also reinforced in spaces for talks and screenings. These proposals were carried out in various cultural and educational spaces in the Province of Jujuy, attracting hundreds of people interested in body expression, movement and dance.

SPACES | TRAINING AND REFLECTION

The event had the active participation of artistic education and professional training institutions related to the arts, as well as the support of the general public.

“The importance of valuing the diverse perspectives, research and processes in dance, coming from local and independent teachers and artists, was highlighted. The purpose of the project was the dissemination, research, rescue, safeguarding and revaluation of the heritage represented by the manifestations of the dance, from a perspective rooted in the local and situated,” those responsible concluded.

“The relevance and cultural impact of the meeting were recognized through various declarations of Cultural Interest for the Province of Jujuy, Educational Interest by the Higher Institute of Art, and by the Legislative power of the Province. These well-deserved recognitions were granted by virtue of the valuable contribution of the event to the cultural panorama of the region,” they understand.

The Independent Danza Libre Group expressed its deep gratitude to all the participants, collaborators and sponsors who made the success of this third edition of Entrevero possible. “We will continue working to continue promoting and enriching art and culture through dance in our community,” its members concluded.

Rubén Luna, from Danza Libre, commented to The Tribune of Jujuywho is very satisfied with this edition because “Entrevero began as a meeting and now it is a festival that brings together local master artists, and on this occasion we were able to bring two national level masters, to mingle, so that our dance has different looks, contemporary artists, folklore artists, of all styles came together, and for a week we had talks and a lot of activities, very productive,” he concluded.
