FLORIDA, CAMAGÜEY.- The Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS) Amparo Carriera Montes, from the municipality of Florida, will host the Camagüey provincial event for the Farmers’ Day, scheduled for the early hours of the morning of next Tuesday, May 7.
A broad movement of voluntary work involves the associates of the aforementioned CCS, along with the rest of the Floridian farmers, in painting premises, mowing green areas and beautifying them in general to welcome their counterparts from the other Camagüey territories.
The purpose of the celebration is to salute the date of May 17, in commemoration of the 65th anniversaries of the First Agrarian Reform Law, signed by Fidel in 1959, and the 63rd of the constitution of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP).
This Tuesday’s event will lead to the delivery of recognition to outstanding municipalities and winners of the emulation for the anniversary, and will serve to reiterate the commitment of Camagüey farmers to food production and other tasks of political and social impact.
