The highest authorities of the municipality, representatives of different political and mass organizations, the agro-sugar sector itself and several unions also attended this productive event.
This call, which has been taking place since last April, has among its objectives to promote the planting of the so-called sweet stick, given the delays that it exhibits as a consequence of the restrictions with fuel and other essential resources to undertake the emergencies that this demand demands. cultivation, in order to guarantee raw material for future conflicts.
The sugar cane branch in the province includes ten agroindustrial sugar companies such as Heriberto Duquesne, José María Pérez, Abel Santamaría, Perucho Figueredo, Héctor Rodríguez, Quintín Bandera, Ifraín Alfonso, George Washington and Carlos Baliño, who simultaneously complete the same number of centers that the Villa Clara territory has.
Everyone has to contribute to the province’s planting plan, which in the spring campaign that closes on June 30 is around eight thousand hectares, a figure for which what has been planted to date is far away, which will require from now on tightening the passed.
