Santiago de Cali, May 5, 2024. Within the framework of the Public Policy for animal protection and well-being promoted by the Government of Valle, this coming Tuesday, May 7, the first workshop on this topic will be held, aimed at the department’s Police inspectors. The initiative will allow officials to know the specific procedures that must be taken into account in a case of animal abuse.

“These trainings will be important to raise awareness and support the animals of those who receive cases and complaints of animal abuse. We are already working in the department with protocols and qualified minutes to be able to reach the territory and so that the inspectors have these tools to deal with these cases,” said Lizeth Parra, technical deputy director of management support at the Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Valley. .

This training will be carried out in Cali, with the 42 inspectors from the municipalities of the Valley. It will be accompanied by liaisons from the municipalities of the mayors, so that these officials know the procedure, know how to act and what the jurisdiction of the mayors is according to the regulations.
