On the occasion of national strike against the measures of the president’s government Javier Mileiactivity in Córdoba will be almost completely paralyzed today. Public transportation, teachers and state employees at the three levels, among many other sectors, announced their adherence to the measure.
In rejection of the labor reform, the restitution of the Income Tax, the loss of purchasing power, the refusal to approve joint agreements and the measures that affect industrial activity and public education, the four union centers of Córdoba resolved to join to today’s national strike. From the CGT Córdoba, the Regional CGT, the Workers’ CTA and the Autonomous CTA announced that they will paralyze their respective sectors, in line with the fight plan launched at the national level.
A key area that will account for the impact of the strike will be transportation. He will be completely resentful, since both the urban service drivers (UTA), the interurban service drivers (Aoita) and the taxi workers (Sipetaco), will join the measure.
Likewise, beyond the minimum guards in essential sectors, the municipal, provincial and national administration will also be paralyzed. The same will happen with official organizations such as Afip and Anses, the provincial and national Judiciary and the Legislative Branch.
Regarding the municipal services that will work, the 6 de Julio Palace reported that metered parking (SEMM) will be normal, as will funeral services, while cemeteries will remain open until 1 p.m. Meanwhile, the Chateau and Japan Avenue Technical Vehicle Inspection plants will also open as they usually do, while the Ring Road plant two will be closed. Those who had a previous appointment at this point are asked to reschedule it for a later time.
Another activity that will show the forcefulness of the strike is teaching, which will join the strike in its different levels and forms. In this regard, the Union of Educators of the Province of Córdoba (UEPC), Sadop (private) and Adiuc (university) announced their membership.
Food (Stia), banks (AB), graphics (Uogc), Jockey Club (Aejcc), casinos (Acec), collection and sweeping (Surrbac), logistics (Truckers), energy (LyF and Sirelyf), metallurgical (UOM), mail (Alecyt), brick makers (Uolra), construction (Uocra), health (Atsa), commerce (Agec), roads (Sivialco), mechanics (Smata), press (Cispren) and gastronomy (Uthgra) are, among others, the adherents.
The dynamics of the mobilization that will take place during the morning will seek to accompany the total paralysis of activities with a demonstration of force throughout the country. In our city, each union will leave with its columns from the union headquarters, to converge in Colón and General Paz at 12 noon, where an event will be held with some speakers representing the different sectors.
