Within the framework of the 2024 joint elections, the Municipality of Salta agreed with the municipal unions on a retroactive increase of 24% corresponding to February and March of this year. An increase of 9% corresponding to April 2024 was also agreed, with a new calculation base to December 2023.

The negotiation tables were headed by the Secretary of the Treasury, Facundo Furió, and the Secretary of the Government, Agustina Agolio. The agreement was signed by the union leaders of UTM and the Intergremial.

Regarding the settlement of the retroactive increase of 24%, this will be received in a complementary manner to be collected in the coming days of May. Meanwhile, the 9% corresponding to April will also be paid retroactively in two equal parts of 4.5%, to be received in May and June 2024.

One of the central requests of the union bases was to update the calculation month for the next settlements to December 2023. Month on which an increase of 82% had been granted. This request was included in today’s salary negotiation table. The dialogue with the municipal unions remains open and the next salary negotiation tables will be held in June, as agreed by the parties.
