José Farhat, yesSecretary of State for Citizen Participation of the Ministry of Security, signed an act of reciprocal collaboration with the National University of Tucumán together with the Rector Sergio Pagani and the vice chancellorto Mercedes Leal. This agreement involves all the teams of the pre-university schools, the academic secretary and the general secretary of the university in charge of José Hugo Saab.

This collaboration document has as its centrality a digital citizenship strategy to work with children, adolescents and young people in pre-university schools, teaching and non-teaching teams and the family. It should be noted that the University, through the Academic Secretariat, General Secretariat, Pre-University Schools and the Ministry of Security through the Citizen Participation Secretariat, have been working together since 2023.

José Farhat said: “The implementation of this work system will have different instances, including surveys, discussions, and training. We have already carried out the first public innovation laboratory applied through the methodology and from there and the Tucumán Lab Innovation laboratory, where we have created what these instances are going to be and the proposal for the first diploma that will have a perspective of “the healthy university and one of its axes will be digital citizenship.”

In turn, the rector Sergio Pagani expressed: “It is the formalization of the work that we have been doing together with the secretariat and the different sectors of the university based on digital care, digital citizenship, of our children and adolescents, of pre-university schools. We had an excellent activity last year, where many students from our schools participated and from there came this idea of formalizing it in an agreement for future joint actions, always in the care of our boys and girls, of the schools fundamentally.”

He added: “We are thinking about a curricular path or a diploma, some degree that addresses this need. This circumstance affects us all, technology, digital, which is sometimes very positive, but sometimes it is very negative and we have to take care of our adolescents and children.”

We are going to work on training the teams that work on prevention matrices from a perspective of care pedagogy, the culture of encounter and thinking about digital citizenship, which is thinking about 21st century citizenship. He is following the guidelines of the governor Osvaldo Jaldo and the minister of security Eugenio Aguero Gamboa. Furthermore, these strategies seek to impact prevention matrices on peaceful coexistence, the reduction of violence and also the reduction and prevention of cybercrimes,” concluded José Farhat, Secretary of Citizen Participation of the Ministry of Security.
