“Sowing ideas, sowing awareness” program is presented in Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba. – The president of Casas de las Américas, Abel Prieto Jiménez, highlighted this Friday in Camagüey the need for a permanent anti-colonial gaze in times when the great powers impose patterns focused on erasing the identities of the people.

Prieto Jiménez insisted on the role of schools and families, and on promoting the formation of a public capable of critically evaluating what is happening around them, in the midst of cultural colonial globalization.

During the presentation in Camagüey of the “Sowing ideas, sowing awareness” program, the highest provincial authorities, directors, professors, and intellectuals participated.
