When delivering the donation, the ambassador of Saint Kitts and Nevis in Cuba, Verna Uwana Mills, highlighted that it is an honor to carry out this solidarity action with medical supplies on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of bilateral relations between both nations, and a display of fraternal friendship. on behalf of the government and people of those Caribbean islands.

The diplomat thanked the ministries of Public Health and Foreign Affairs of Cuba and their counterpart organizations in Saint Kitts and Nevis for facilitating the obtaining and delivery of this aid, and expressed the commitment to continue the ties to strengthen and consolidate the ties between both countries. .

For her part, the director of the healthcare center, Dr. Dania Yi Mariño, thanked this gesture of solidarity that “fills us with hope and motivates us to continue working for quality health for our patients,” she highlighted.

He added that the donation is an investment in the health and well-being of the community to offer better medical care, at a time when Cuba is going through adverse conditions due to the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States, especially in the sector. of health, one of the most affected.

Yi Mariño highlighted the work of doctors, nurses, technicians and all the workers at that healthcare center, who strive every day to provide efficient care and maintain adequate health indicators.
