The Coquimbo Live Mall will have extended hours on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The beginning of winter is still missing, but low temperatures are already being felt in the region, accompanied by an increase in the viral circulation of Influenza type A.

Therefore, having more vaccination points is essential so that the population can access the influenza vaccine expeditiously.

In this context, the Health Authority together with the Coquimbo primary care have provided new vaccination points for the community. One of them is located in the living mall of Coquimbo, so that the population can also arrive during extended hours.

This is reported by the Seremi de Salud of the region, Dr. Paola Salas, who explained that “We are very happy that in our region we are having a lot of collaboration from the health teams that move from the health centers to external places to improve the population access to health. A vaccine saves a life, today we need people over 60 years of age, pregnant women and children between 6 months to 5 years to be vaccinated.”

In addition, the health authority highlighted the relevance of vaccination “If we administer a vaccine, it is most likely that we will not reach the ICU, nor will we mourn the loss of a loved one. We thank the Mall Vivo de Coquimbo for allowing us to vaccinate in this place, the best way to reach people is to be in the places they frequent.” Held.

Meanwhile, Magdalena Contardo, Marketing Manager of Mall Vivo Coquimbo, made a call to the port community. “For us it is very important to be an attractive point so that people can get vaccinated,” she explained.

The vaccination point will operate from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. In addition, on Mondays and Wednesdays with extended hours from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Vaccination reaches 62%:

To date, more than 262,895 people have been vaccinated against influenza, with coverage of 62% progress.

Among the priority audiences, children from 6 months to 5 years, older adults and pregnant women have the lowest coverage with 57%, 50% and 38.5%, respectively.
