According to the Ibagué Metropolitan Police, they confirmed the event that occurred on Carrera 20 and Calle 67, where the two young people were attacked with a firearm and this was indicated by Lieutenant Colonel Óscar Acosta Bahamon, operational commander of the Metib.
Witnesses to the event stated that «The young people were sitting in the sports center, the hitman shot one of them in the head and chest; while the other was wounded in the head and legs.”
Despite the fact that they were taken by taxi to a clinic on 60th Street and minutes later the death of both was confirmed due to the severity of their injuries.
The victims were between 18 and 23 years old, authorities are investigating the events.

One of the victims received multiple hits, with one shot in the head and three in the chest, while the other was hit by one shot in the head and another in one of his legs.
