Within the framework of World Environment Day and, through coordinated work with the Secretary of Environment and Control of Sustainable Development of Chubut and the Municipality of Esquel, Pan American Energy (PAE) delivered a recycling station for the mountain city.
The module was presented during an event at the Melipán Cultural Center in which Juan José Rivera, Secretary of Environment and Control of Sustainable Development of Chubut, was present; Matias Tacceta, mayor of Esquel; Horacio Garcia, manager of Institutional Relations of PAE; Pablo Gorio, Environment Leader of Golfo San Jorge and Juan Taccari, Institutional Relations reference.

The station is made with reused materials and was installed in the heart of the city with the aim of raising awareness among residents so that they join in the separation and recycling of waste.
The module is prepared for the provision of inorganic waste and the differentiated and orderly reception of paper and cardboard; glass; plastic and aluminum cans; preserves and aerosol containers; all clean and dry.
In that sense, from the Municipality of Esquel, the person in charge of GIRSU, Mariana López Rey, highlighted that “This new recycling station will allow the waste not to be visible since it has four containers inside. The neighbor enters the waste through a mouth or slot and, once the containers are full, the removal is carried out with a faster and more orderly unloading. The idea is that this space is cared for by everyone, using it conveniently,”held.

For his part, Mayor Matias Tacceta valued the company’s contribution and highlighted: “PAE was always very attentive to the town and our neighbors. I want to thank them enormously for the contribution they made during the hardest time of the fires and for the permanent support to our environmental management. They are friends of the house, that’s how I feel.”
Meanwhile, from PAE, Horacio Garcia, Manager of Institutional Relations for Golfo San Jorge, explained: “the contribution of this recycling station is the continuity of a work that we carry out in a sustained manner with our Environmental Promoters program. We have already inaugurated clean points in Comodoro Rivadavia, Sarmiento, Rada Tilly and Camarones and this year we are proud to be able to add the first recycling station in the mountain range.”
