Salvadoran deputy reveals how Senator Jota Pe requested an invitation to inaugurate Bukele

Caracol Radio spoke exclusively with the Salvadoran deputy Cristian Guevara, who tells how the Colombian senator Jota Pe Hernández obtained the invitation to the inauguration of President Nayib Bukele, and the inconsistencies of the parliamentarian’s trip to said event.

“Someone told me that there was a senator from Colombia who wanted to go to the inauguration and I told him that I would be happy. How there were so many delegations from all countries wanting to attend, and with pleasure. “I had a trip organized with people from the diaspora, and I told him that he could gladly accompany that delegation,” said deputy Cristian Guevara.

The senator’s request occurs once he arrives in El Salvador without first having secured his entry to Bukele’s inauguration:

”I remember that he told me if there was the possibility of going to the inauguration, to which I said I would be happy. I told him where the bus with the people from the diaspora was going to leave from, that if he wanted to go with the diaspora delegation, I would be happy to get him a space there.. So He said yes, and I remember that he sent me his passport and that of a couple of his companions.“He told me it was from the technical team,” he added.

The senator, who has not yet commented on the matter, He sent the invitation as proof that he was indeed invited to the possession ceremony, However, there is a contrast between the official invitation letter and the one granted to Senator Hernández:

It should be remembered that Senator Hernández highlighted that he was invited by President Nayib Bukele himself to the inauguration.

The gala was divided into two moments, one of them a dinner with a capacity of 1,000 people, and who, according to Jota Pe’s version, went there at the invitation of the Colombian ambassador in El Salvador, Official sources confirmed that this invitation was relatively easy to obtain due to the large number of people who would attend.

Regarding the images that the senator shared through his networks, they point out that He was there very early, that’s how he entered the palace and took some photos of the room where President Bukele would speak privately.

The confusion arises, because in the image that Jota Pe publishes in his videos, He mixes images from the official broadcast, of people who were at the ceremony, along with the shots he took minutes before President Bukele gave his speech.

Later, when the president of Salvador delivers the main hall, Guests who were not on the list come out, including JotaPe, and only around 60 people attend, who are special guests of the president.

“I remember that In the afternoon I wrote to him and asked him if everything had been fine, and he thanked me, told me that it had been great, that he had achieved the goal and that was it.“said deputy Cristian Guevara.

According to the information, the Colombian congressman did not enter the inauguration ceremony, as he had an invitation made in a PDF, a piece designed by the deputy’s office, one very different from the official invitation, since it was made on letterhead paper. , in a personalized way, with white and gold letters, sent especially from the national palace with which the guests attended the inauguration ceremony.
