In this case, it is the Chinese company DFSK – which arises from the union between Dongfeng and Sokon -, which in the case of the passenger vehicle division, is represented by the Corven Group.
The brand, although it is not so well known in Argentina, does have a certain history in other countries in the region and the local representative aims to earn its place in the market with a range of SUVs of which the new Glory 580 is the first.
In this regard, Santiago Sporleder, Commercial Manager of DFSK Argentina, stated: “We chose the Glory 580 to introduce our range of SUVs in Argentina, because it is a vehicle that targets an audience that finds little offer, that of large families or those who need space both to move on a daily basis and to travel. But not only that, it is a high-quality vehicle, with a high level of equipment and has very efficient mechanics, with contained fuel consumption levels, something that families know how to value.”

The new:
This is the first DFSK passenger product to be marketed in Argentina, in this case a C-SUV that stands out for its great price/product ratio, with a value of a B segment vehicle and C segment dimensions, added to the plus having 7 places for large families.
Aesthetically, it has a modern and sober design, with details such as the LED headlights and the diamond-patterned grille. In profile, it stands out for its high beltline and bulging wheel arches, as well as the 172 alloy wheels, window frames and chrome door handles.
Inside doors it also maintains that sober and somewhat impersonal style, with highlights such as the digital instruments or the 10” screen for the multimedia system. Its equipment is complete for its price, as well as safety, with a fair but similar provision to other regional SUVs in the B segment.
Dimensions:
It measures 4,680 mm long, 1,715 mm wide, 1,845 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,780 mm. The trunk capacity is 375 liters.

At the moment, it is sold in a single version (Comfort).

Multimedia system with 10” touch screen, with Bluetooth/USB/AUX, multifunction steering wheel, on-board computer, digital instruments, automatic climate control with air vents for rear seats, electric power steering, electric windows, front camera with recorder and reversing camera, eco-leather upholstery, panoramic roof, LED lights and 17” alloy wheels, among other items.
Safety equipment:
It has 4 airbags (front + front side), brakes with ABS/EBD/BA, traction control, stability control, hill start assist and Isofix anchors.
Mechanics:
The only version available is powered by a 1.8 gasoline engine, which delivers 132 HP at 6,000 rpm and 176 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. It is associated with a CVT automatic transmission with sequential mode, which simulates 5 gears. Front-wheel drive.
