Starting this Thursday, service stations in the province of Jujuy will begin to sell compressed Natural Gas (CNG) more expensive, since from the Chamber of Fuel Distributors, they stated that, againthis fuel will increase its price.
It should be noted that on May 9, a 5% price update for CNG had also been made, and it began to be sold at almost 600 pesos. In this opportunity, The increase will be approximately 20 pesos, indicated the head of that chamber, Silvia Ficoseco, in dialogue with Channel 4.
“CNG accompanies the rise in gasoline”
When the previous increase occurred, Ficoseco had provided details, and said that “The impact of other factors on the price is analyzed, such as the energy service and the joint ventures. CNG accompanies the rise in gasoline. It is directly linked.”
Increase in gasoline
Since last weekend, the gasoline prices They experienced an increase that exceeded $1000, due to the update of the Tax on Liquid Fuels (ICL) and the Carbon Dioxide Tax (IDC).
Gasoline prices:
- Super: $1024
- Infinia: $1233
- Infinia Diesel: $1295
The tax increase had been postponed in May, but now the Executive decided to implement the updates corresponding to several pending periods through a new gradual schedule established in Decree 466/2024, recently published in the Official Gazette. This regulation details that the increases will be applied progressively, culminating with the update of the fourth quarter of 2023 and that of the first quarter of 2024 starting today, June 1, 2024.
Specifically, the ICL on gasoline will increase by 10,121 pesos and by 8,245 pesos on diesel, with an additional 4,464 pesos. The IDC will have an increase of 0.619 pesos for gasoline and 0.935 pesos for diesel. As of July 1, 2024, the full increase in tax amounts will be applied.
