Museum in the dark, new experience at the Francisco Cossío

As part of the experiences that the State Secretary of Culture To bring the people of Potosí, as well as visitors, closer to the works of local artists and artistic centers, the activity was enabled “Dark Museum”.

Once the sun sets, a night tour will be offered, with the lights off and the company of a flashlight, in the Francisco Cossío Museumlocated on Venustiano Carranza Avenue, in the capital of Potosí, open to the public, with an affordable cost, so as not to affect the families’ finances.

The first tour of this type will take place this Wednesday, June 5 at exactly 8:00 p.m., to see by the light of a flashlight the works that exist in the museum that opened its doors on November 20, 1970.

The tour will begin at the main entrance of the cultural venue, where all the lights will be turned off, to live a low light experiencewhere through a guided tour, you will get to know the insides of the museum at night.

In addition to enjoy the works from another perspectivebecause on a normal day the Francisco Cossío museum is only open in the morning, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be an explanation about the history of the property and the cultural and social importance of this museum.
