The Court of Appeals of La Serena ordered keep five members of the Aragua Train in preventive detentionwho are formalized for the crimes of kidnapping and illicit association.

It should be remembered that Judge Daniella Pinto Cortés, of the Guarantee Court of Los Vilos, had modified the precautionary measure of the subjects for house arrest, monthly signature and national roots.

This, after the defense of the accused paid a bail of 5 million pesos for each one.

However, the Public Ministry filed an appeal against this decision, arguing that His release constitutes a danger to the security of society. The Court accepted said appeal, so the accused must return to prison.

According to the appeal court, no element was presented that would allow a change in the previously imposed precautionary measure to be understood.

“In other words, we find ourselves in a scenario identical to that which motivated, at the time, the imposition of the precautionary measure of preventive detention for each of the defendants”explains the failure.

BioBioChile sources assure that Arrest warrants have already been issued against the five involvedso within the next few hours they should be behind bars again.
