They will teach trades to about 1,500 unemployed people to work in Vaca Muerta

The government of the province of Neuquén and Pan American Energy (PAE) launched a training program in technical trades aimed at 1,500 Neuquéns over 18 years of age unemployed. This program seeks to improve employability conditions throughout the province, offering technical training linked to the energy industry.

The signing of the agreement, which will be valid for two years, was carried out between the governor of the province, Rolando Figueroa; the Minister of Labor of Neuquén, Lucas Castelli; the Group CEO of PAE, Marcos Bulgheroni; and the Corporate Vice President of Institutional Relations of PAE, Daniel Felici.

PAE, a company in the oil industry, carries out programs and activities aimed at benefiting the communities of the provinces where it operates, especially through initiatives related to the PAE SME Program, according to the company.

The Comprehensive Plan for the Promotion and Strengthening of Technical Trades will provide more than 3,500 hours of technical training through the support of the Potenciar Foundation, the National University of Comahue and the National Technological University – Regional Neuquén.

“This program will encourage labor insertion in the province, “It will support and strengthen activities that contribute to sustainability and socio-labor development,” explained Figueroa.

What will the courses be?

The first courses to be convened will include training such asWell production assistant, electrician assistant, drilling equipment assistant, Coiled Tubing operator and instrumentation assistant, among others. These trainings are designed to respond to the specific demands of the energy industry and provide participants with the skills necessary to obtain employment in this sector.

The provincial ministry assumed the commitment to coordinate and execute the programs, monitor the students who graduated from the training, and disseminate and convene the activities. “The social role of PAE in the province is very important for us from the first moment in education, training and employment programs.”Figueroa commented.

Marcos Bulgheroni, Group CEO of PAE, stated that “We support this program because we are convinced that training and technical training generate the opportunities that our young people need to access quality employment.”.

Pan American Energy, through its SME Program, became the first private company to join the provincial “Emplea Neuquén” program, created by Governor Figueroa in January of this year. This program is part of a series of initiatives aimed at improving the employability and quality of life of Neuquéns.

PAE is one of the main oil producers in Argentina and has a prominent presence in the province of Neuquén, where it operates in six areas.

The technical training program of PAE and the provincial government is a response to the need for specialized training in the energy industry, a key sector for the economic development of Neuquén. This initiative not only seeks to improve job opportunities for residents of the province, but also contribute to the sustainable growth of the community.
