The YPF Foundation’s mobile Renewable Energy classroom arrived in the province of Neuquén. The educational proposal addresses the energy transition and efficient energy consumption. Yesterday it opened its doors in Plaza Huincul and in the remainder of June it will visit Neuquén Capital, Añelo and Rincón de los Sauces. Entrance is free and open.
It will have “activities for the whole family and workshops for students and teachers of technical secondary schools«, they expressed from the company. In this space, an interactive wall of content on the energy transition, augmented reality tablets with information on renewable energies and energy video games are available.
In addition to the activities open to the entire community, the YPF Foundation will carry out a training workshop on renewable energy for senior high school studentswhich includes assembly practices and recognition of components of photovoltaic, solar thermal energy equipment and a low-power wind generator.
It will also provide a teacher training course in Energy Transition and Renewable Energies for teachers of technical schools or higher institutes. Through these activities, “YPF Foundation seeks to train and raise awareness about the importance of advancing the energy transition towards renewable energies and contributing to achieving a cleaner and more sustainable energy matrix,” they indicated.
In the year 2023, The classroom visited 21 locations and more than 16,000 people participated in the educational activities of this program. The program has been implemented since 2017.
