The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, visits the province of Santa Fe for the first time and landed in the town of Armstrong where an agricultural exhibition is taking place.

“We were on the verge of what was designed to be the worst monetary crisis in Argentina. We had worse social indicators than in 2001,” was one of the first assessments of the Head of State.

“We come from 17,000% inflation. We went to a zero deficit program,” he added. And he continued: “May is going to be a surplus month. We are going to end inflation in Argentina.”

“The previous Government issued 28 points of GDP during the four years,” remarked the president from Armstrong.

“We are fulfilling the mandate of putting the streets in order,” Milei said in another section of his speech, as a wink to Patricia Bullrich.

“The jets are nervous, the caste is afraid. They are so afraid that the only thing they do is want to sabotage this government,” said the president and raised those present.

“The zero deficit is here to stay,” he anticipated while insisting that he will veto every attempt by the opposition to break the fiscal balance. He, too, did not miss the opportunity to once again brand those in Congress as “fiscal degenerates.”

In another part of the speech, Milei assured that when conditions improve they will aim to lower taxes. “As Professor Espert said, in our sights we have the COUNTRY, withholdings and bank credits and debits. The greatest testimony that I want to lower them is that I never wanted to share them.”

The Santa Fe governor Maximiliano Pullaro stated this Thursday in his speech: “We are the countryside, we are the industry, but we are also productive innovation, we are the universities and we are what is going to take Argentina forward,” he said and added: “It is very important that President Milei sees our productive potential.

Pullaro also expressed: “Argentina will move forward when we all understand that we have to listen to each other more and that we have to work together. May God bless our countryside, our industry and the citizens of the Argentine Republic.”
