From the Ministry of Public Health of Cali, through the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), all citizens are called to get vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19. This initiative seeks to encourage the population at risk to complete their vaccination schedules within the framework of the ‘Vacunathon’ activities to avoid an increase in infections or deaths.

In Cali, there are 43,000 doses of influenza vaccines for adults and 46,000 pediatric doses, in addition to Moderna vaccines against COVID-19. Therefore, it is important that both the population (to get vaccinated against influenza) and health professionals (in the case of immunization against COVID-19 and influenza) go to the more than 150 Health Service Provider Institutions (IPS). ) vaccinators throughout the District of Santiago de Cali.

These initiatives are carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the District Administration and the Ministry of Public Health, in the context of preparation for COP16. The objective is to ensure the health and well-being of the community, especially to avoid the increase in respiratory problems after the arrival of the increase in the rainy season.
