182 peasant families in Bolívar, Cesar and Sucre received 2,112 hectares

The Government assigned 2,112 hectares to 182 families peasants and peace signatories in the departments of Bolívar, Cesar and Sucre, within the framework of the Agrarian Reform that is being promoted.

These lands are part of the more than 6,000 that the National Land Agency (ANT) in seven departments in recent days, adding Córdoba, Magdalena, Meta and Cundinamarca.

President Gustavo Petro was in Aguachicawhere part of the delivery was made, and maintained that “Some of the technicians recommended cutting the Agrarian Reform budget. Damn! It’s not being cut. It’s the only way we have to build production, democracy and peace.”

For his part, the director of the ANT, Felipe Harmanmaintained that “behind the Agrarian Reform is the collective aspiration to live in peace. The farm is in this wonderful and productive foothills. We must ensure that the Agrarian Reform is carried out, that it is a progressive advance towards justice and allows for an improvement in the quality of life of peasants”.

The assigned farms are now located in San Juan Nepomuceno, Santa Rosa and Magangué (Bolívar), Aguachica (Cesar) and Ovejas (Sucre).
