More than 120 students from 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grade from the Bernardino Rivadavia school in the city of Salta traveled by train today from the Balcarce street station to the town of San José de los Cerrillos. It was the culmination of the campaign “Revaluing the urban train as a means of transportation” that started in that establishment, organized by the Planning Secretariat.

The objective is to transmit to students information about safety measures and the operation of urban passenger transport.

Previously, the students had participated in informative talks, tutorials and recreational activities carried out at the educational establishment. In this way, they can implement what they learn in the classroom on topics such as railway crossings, signaling elements and the operation of barriers, among others.

The Railway Operating Society and the Ministry of Education participate in this action. It is scheduled to continue in more capital schools, prioritizing those that are located near the railway tracks: on the agenda are Patricio Sosa in the Castañares neighborhood and San Martín located in the macrocenter of the city of Salta.
