The Civil Defense confirmed that several sectors of the urban area of the municipality of Ayapel, Córdoba, have begun to face flooding due to the high levels recorded by the San Jorge River, in addition to the Ciénaga de Ayapel and streams.
It is worth remembering that recently the deputy director of Environmental Management of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of the Sinú and San Jorge Valleys (CAR – CVS), Albeiro Arrieta, had warned that “The case of the Ciénaga de Ayapel is taking us to worrying levels.
