Carlos Andrés Quintero Monsalve, director of the Administrative Department of Risk Management (Dagrd) gave information about the events.

“At 8:08 am, the case was called to 123, reporting an accident involving two people who were performing maintenance on an elevator on South 7th Street for 23″, said.

When the Firefighters units were present at the scene, they stated that “an elevator fell from the 21st to the 20th floor. One of the two employees was rescued alive and the second died at the scene, authorities will investigate the causes of the case.”

What happened?

The DAGRD director stated that the rescue team found the two people who were carrying out maintenance on a winch system inside an apartment.

Regarding the other person who was injured, the official noted that he had minor injuries. On the morning of this Friday, the corresponding authorities carried out the removal of the body of the deceased person, who until now no details of her identity are known.

”The case is closed by waiting for the authorities to carry out the survey,” the official concluded.
