On a day marked by citizen voting, National Renewal (RN) was positioned as the party with the most votes in the primaries of Chile Let’s go.
The president of RN, Rodrigo Galilea, celebrated the results by highlighting the democratic commitment of the voters, an instance in which the party led the list of candidates with 13 people, compared to the nine of the UDI, the six of Evópoli and only being surpassed by the 27 independent candidates of the conglomerate.

“We want to highlight today, primary day, that many people participated in all the Chile Vamos primaries. More than one hundred thousand people voted in the 20 mayoral primaries, plus two regional government primaries that were held throughout the country. So the first thing we want to highlight because it gives us great joy is that in the times we live in, having managed to mobilize, motivate and make it understood that the primaries are a democratic, legitimate electoral process, which gives depth to democracy is very good news for the country,” said Galilea.
Claudia Mora, the winner of the primary in Peñalolén with 70% of the votes, was also excited and grateful. “First of all I want to thank God, my family, my team, my neighbors, my friends for joining me in this challenge. It was not an easy challenge, but here we are and we got a tremendous vote, so thank you very much to all the Peñalolinos who trusted me,” she noted.
Rodrigo Galilea also highlighted the results obtained in Puente Alto, where Karla Rubilar He obtained more than 18,000 votes, the largest number of votes in a primary in the history of Chile. “This is a very important vote, in fact the highest that any primary candidate has obtained in Chile at any time. And that is one thing that must be highlighted. Karla Rubilar’s efforts in the Puente Alto commune have been recognized and rewarded by those who live in that commune.”
