In different neighborhoods and commercial establishments of Valledupar, the departmental municipal authorities, together with the Valledupar Metropolitan Police, and Migration Colombia, carried out an operational day in search of the child Jhosuar David Mejía Gil, 4 years old, who has been missing since the past May 12, when his mother, Angélica Gil, allegedly left him in a store in the Nuevo Milenio neighborhood, where the minor resides with his maternal family.
Since then, the boy’s trace has been unknown, which keeps his relatives, mainly grandparents and aunts, in suspense, who implore help to find him.
Due to this mystery of where the child could be, the authorities have deployed different actions to find him. There is a reward of 15 million pesos for accurate information on his location, guaranteeing confidentiality for whoever provides it.
“Neighborhood by neighborhood of Valledupar, in a coordinated effort by all institutions, we intensified the search for the boy Jhosuar David Mejía, asking each inhabitant of the city for information that leads us to the little boy. We will not stop until we find it,” published the Government of Cesar, in X.
On the other hand, the child’s relatives have planned a walk from the Ceiba roundabout to the Cesar Government, next Tuesday, June 11, starting at 8:00 in the morning, in search of greater support. If they are not heard they will go to the Prosecutor’s Office and ICBF.
