He explained that as a result of this work there are currently no cases of H5N2 influenza, known as avian flu, and although San Luis Potosí had an isolated outbreak in New Castle and avian flu in Cedral and Salinas de Hidalgo, in fighting cocks in the first quarter of the year, there was immediate control and a sanitary fence until the risk was eradicated, so surveillance continues at road checkpoints and inspection stations, without detecting risks.

Lamas Vega clarified that eggs and poultry meat for consumption in San Luis Potosí are risk-free, according to technical experts in the field, and explained that they will continue to be constantly monitored to reduce the possibilities of an outbreak in the State.
