More than 6 hours of dialogue between the authorities of the indigenous minga and the delegation of the National Government allowed the opening of the passage on the Mocoa – Pitalito road; The negotiation table must be set up before Friday.

Almost at midnight this Sunday, the agreement to lift the blockade at km 18 of the road to Pitalito was announced at the headquarters of the indigenous resistance minga in Mocoa.

The Deputy Minister General of the Interior, Diego Cancino, indicated that the National Government recognizes and legitimizes the just claims of the protesters, mostly members of the indigenous peoples of Putumayo, in addition to the communities of the Siete de Agosto settlement.

He confirmed that the initial agreement contemplates the lifting of the blockade on the road, to allow free passage, until Wednesday, when it is expected, and at the latest until Friday the installation of the negotiation table.

In the list of requests, the main emphasis is on compliance with the commitments signed in the mingas of 2012 and 2021, in addition to other demands regarding the reconstruction of Mocoa.

For the installation of these tables, the arrival of delegates from the different ministries and entities, which have the powers to resolve the requests of the protesting communities, is expected.
